Herman den Blijker book launch: Herman over bonen
Last monday, I was invited to the book launch of Herman over bonen by the famous Dutch cook, Herman den Blijker. It is a cook book that is filled with bean recipes. I honestly don't know what to do with beans in the kitchen, maybe except for red beans, so I was very interested in getting to know more.
During the book launch party, we were treated to various drinks and small dishes. I didn't get to try them all as I left early, but here are some of the bean appetizers.
Tomato cocktail with bean mixture
Green pea foam soup with bacon snips on top
Marrowfat peas, piccalilly mustard cream, and bacon on toast and watercress leaves on top
When I was about to leave, I was surprised to receive this big goodiebox filled with food.
Of course, I also went home with the cook book.
