Review: MAC extra dimension eye shadow - silver sun

When I saw the new Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof mascara, I was immediately attracted to the packaging. It has a beautiful turquoise tube with water drops, while the original Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara (review) is metallic pink. It also reminded me of the MAC Alluring Aquatic collection from 2 years ago of which I own the MAC nail lacquer - submerged and the MAC extra dimension eye shadow - silver sun, which I still had in my drafts. I remember that it was one of my first purchases from the brand MAC and I was definitely pleased with them.

I don't think you can still buy this eye shadow in the official MAC stores, but I was able to see a few sold on eBay and Amazon, so this might still be helpful to someone. I also think this can encourage people to wear more green eye shadow on their eyelids. I personally never thought green would look good on me, but I really like this color. The eye shadow is also very pigmented and build-able.

When I was swatching it in the MAC store I initially thought it was a medium grey eye shadow, so I was surprised to find out that it was green at home. The green has so many dimensions (that's why it is called an extra dimension eye shadow!) that it can look like a different color depending on the lighting. I believe it also has a gold undertone too.
