Kingsday 2014 nails

Today, we will be celebrating Kingsday in the Netherlands. Actually, the king's birthday is on 27 April, but because it is on a Sunday, we are celebrating it one day earlier. Last year was the last Queensday and I created these two nail ideas. For this special occasion, the first Kingsday, I wanted to have special nails too.

Kingsday nails 2014: Innisfree nail polish 133 - Ballet steps and HEMA long lasting nail polish 859

For the Kingsday nails, I used the Innisfree nail polish 133 - Ballet steps from the Innisfree Ballet girl nail polish collection and the HEMA Long Lasting nail polish 859.

If you have been following me longer, you would know that I was very curious about the Innisfree nail polishes from the Innisfree Ballet girl nail polish collection and I really wanted to see whether they look similar to the nail polishes in the OPI New York City Ballet collection, which I can't get my hands on. I only bought one bottle to be on the safe side, but it really amazed me. The color is very subtle, milky orange and it looks pretty good with my slightly tanned hands. The coverage is quite good and the glossy gel nail effect is very pretty. I am definitely going to buy the other colors in that collection too. ^_^

I thought that it would also be a dupe of the nail polishes from the L'Oréal les blancs collection, but those don't seem to have such a glossy and milky finish.

Since the nails aren't looking very royal (even though I used orange, which is our country's royal color), I added a golden crown on my ring finger using the HEMA Long Lasting nail polish 859. It isn't looking very neat, but from far, people should still be able to distinguish that it is a crown. ^_^
