Marks & Spencer Hand Cooked Lemon Harissa Potato Crisps review

Lately, I had visited a Marks & Spencer store and I saw that they had many special, limited edition, Summer of Flavour products. Just because of the colorful prints on the packaging, I couldn't resist to buy two of them. I will first review the Hand Cooked Lemon Harissa Potato Crisps.

From the description on the packaging, it sounded like an interesting combination of flavors: "fiery & zesty with lemon, cumin, black pepper & chilli". I have never tried potato crisps with lemon flavor before, so it was worth a try. I also really like lemon on almost everything, so I really didn't think it could go wrong.

The potato crisps were thickly sliced and they had a really nice potato flavor. If they only had a pinch of salt on them, I think I wouldn't have been able to stop eating. But the seasoning was just too strange. The lemon flavor didn't really match too well with the black pepper, cumin, and chilli. You can actually taste the different flavors separately. I first thought that it would have been the chilli that I should be afraid off, as I can't take too spicy food, but it is actually the black pepper that had been too spicy for me. I still think that lemon flavored potato crisps could be a good idea, but this one just didn't meet up to my expectations.
