Sushi from AEON supermarket Whampoa

After shopping and exploring Tsim Sha Tsui in the afternoon, we often returned to the Kowloon Harbourfront hotel with the complementary hotel shuttle bus. Together with the complementary mobile phone that we had on loan, which made it possible for us to share Internet connection with all our devices on the road and have free local calls, we saved a lot of money. After resting our feet for a bit and unpacking the things that we have bought, we always had a nice stroll on the Hung Hom promenade in the evening, enjoying the beautiful night view. It takes a short while to reach Whampoa, but there is a lot to see and do there.

You can find the Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa mall, AEON Style Whampoa department store with an AEON supermarket, bakeries such as Kee Wah, Arome, Taipan, Saint Honore, and Maxims, cafes such as Starbucks and Pacific Coffee, affordable restaurants such a Yoshinoya, Café de Coral, Fairwood, Maxim's MX, Saizeriya, and Watami (where we had dinner the first evening), and the supermarkets: Wellcome, ParknShop, and TASTE by ParknShop.

The AEON Style department store (with a Living plaza) is open from 10:00 - 22:30, so it is perfect to save this place for some late night shopping and dining. It has a food court called Food Marché, which is open from 8:30 - 22:30, but you can also buy some food at the AEON supermarket. We had a kitchenette in our apartment, so we were able to make some meals ourselves. It was great to be able to get fresh Chinese vegetables, assorted fruits, and excellent beef, seafood, pork, and chicken. We also often go there to stock up on drinks and snacks. Around dinner time (18:00-19:00), the sushi gets discounted and on lazy days, we just bought a couple of boxes of sushi for dinner. They were delicious and affordable, even without a discount.
