Review: Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream - Naked Dolly (sample size)
I really wanted to buy this year's Sephora Favorites - Give Me More Lip set, but I still haven't reviewed all the lip products of the set of 2014 yet and after some time pondering about it, it got sold out very quickly. I am a bit sad that I missed out on it, as it was a lot of fun trying out a new lip product every month and being introduced to "new to me" brands. I hope to catch up on the reviewing as my last review was back in May (I reviewed the Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in the shade Blush).
Finally, I am reviewing the last nude lip product in the Sephora Favorites - Give Me More Lip set of 2014: the Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream - Naked Dolly.
The Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream - Naked Dolly comes in a very beautiful gold tube with "Too Faced" embossed on it on the side and the letters "T" and "F" on the cap. Swatched on the arm and from looking at the lipstick bullet, it has a liver like pink color, but it looks surprisingly light, natural pink on my lips. I have naturally dark lips and the lipstick was able to cover it very well. I think it has a faint lemon cheesecake scent, but it disappears very quickly when applied on the lips.
The Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream - Naked Dolly is very soft and creamy and it feels very light-weight on the lips. You barely feel that you have anything on your lips. It does apply a bit unevenly. You need to use your finger to smooth it out a bit, especially at the outer parts of your lips. I don't know if it's because of the light color, but it fades very prettily over time.
I like how soft and moisturized my lips feel and it is a really great nude lip color. However, I do need to apply some blush on my cheeks, as it makes my face look very pale.
The only things that bother me, is that the lipstick doesn't stick too well on the inner part of my bottom lip and it emphasizes the dry skin on my lips, but I have that with a lot of lip products.
