Modi Glam Nails nail polish no. 72 - Wild Strawberry review
As I have told you before in this "New Modi nail polishes 2013" post, Modi has new glitter nail polishes out that are really stunning. Today, I will show you the one that I think is the prettiest, the no. 72 - Wild strawberry. It is a milky, strawberry pink nail polish with yellow, purple and fuchsia glitters. It really does resemble the wild strawberries and berries that you can find in the nature. (Or raspberries, pieces of mango, and blueberries stirred into a bowl of strawberry yoghurt, but I really need to stop comparing everything with food and desserts. ^_^)
The pink color of this nail polish is in between the colors of the milky glitter nail polishes, Tony Moly GS09 - Shooting star and the Tony Moly GS10 - Pinky star, that I already own. It is not as cold pink as the Pinky star, but also not as warm purple as the Shooting star nail polish. To justify my purchase, I really need nail polishes to be different than the nail polishes that I already
own. I already have too many nail polishes and I keep adding more in my wish list. (How can I ever keep myself in check with all the pretty nail polishes that keep getting released? ^_^) When you look at the glitters, I like the glitters in the Modi no. 72 more as it is more elegant and fashionable. Although I like the Tony Moly nail polishes very much, the color use of the glitters reminds me of the circus, cotton candy, and even a little bit of the McDonalds. (Still, it is always good to let the inner child out, once in a while :) )
The yellow and purple glitters in this Modi no. 72 - Wild Strawberry nail polish have a more subdued color and metallic shine, whereas the fuchsia glitters are the stars in this nail polish. They are bright fuchsia and totally metallic and shiny. It was really hard to capture this in the pictures, but you should be able to see this in the first picture, when you look closely at the nail polish bottle.
The picture in the left was taken in the shade and it makes me believe that this nail polish would look very pretty with a matte top coat on top too.
