Modi nail polish 71 - Greater Light review
The Modi nail polish no. 78 has finally arrived in the mail, so I can now review the last three glitter nail polishes of this Modi nail polish collection, that was released a few months ago (not to be confused with these new Modi nail polishes, because there is no way I could get all of these. At least, not that fast. ^_^). I can still remember that the last review was the Modi nail polish 73 - Pumpkin Jelly, a beautiful yellow nail polish. You can find pictures of all of these Modi glitter nail polishes and the links to the swatches in this "Gmarket order 11 and 12" post.
I will first start with the pastel blue, Modi nail polish 71 - Greater Light. Seeing all the new pastel nail polishes that are introduced lately, makes to want to take out all my pastels to wear on my nails. From just looking at the bottle: the pastel blue base color matches very well with the iridescent glitters. It is almost like the dresses that fairies wear. Although the color in the bottle really mesmerized me, it was a disappointment on the nails. The color was sheer and patchy. No matter what I did, I couldn't get an even coat on the nails. I think that only the ring finger has the perfect amount of nail polish.
But no, the blue color just doesn't look as pretty as when it was a bit sheer. The shiny jelly finish disappeared a bit and the darker blue color makes the glitters look less visible. Those glitters really look better when you see it floating in a sheerer base.
This was from when I took the nail polish off with a cotton pad. Doesn't it look like a delicious, blue cotton candy? ^_^

That's when I thought, maybe it just needs a few more coats. It still can be saved...

Just look at how pretty the nail polish looks like in the bottle.
