H&M, Monki, and Weekday Rotterdam opening party
Last night, I was invited to attend the pre-opening party of the largest H&M flagship store in Europe: the H&M store in Rotterdam with a retail space of 4500m². It has every item of the H&M collection for women, men, kids, and home. A large sport and shoe collection can also be found there. It is even more complete than what you can find at their online shop. Simultaneously, they had also opened a Monki and Weekday store in the same building. It was quite amazing to see 800 people having a party in a crowded store full of clothes.
But because I read the time on the invitation (7:45 PM - 12:00 AM) as 7:45 in the morning, I woke up very early to end up before closed doors. I am just really bad with the whole AM-PM thing, as we don't really use it here in the Netherlands. We distinguish day and night by writing it down as any time between 0:00-24:00. So I was too tired to stick at the party until the end. Sadly, I wasn't able to take pictures of the Monki and the Weekday shop as well as the Home and Kids department on the first floor due to that. But I did take a lot of pictures of the H&M men and women collection. I basically made a visual wish list, because all that is featured in the video, I want to buy. It even counts for some of the male items, such as the biker jackets, the backpacks, and the smiley face shirt.
On that night, you could also already buy clothes designed by the H&M design award 2014 winner, Eddy Anemian, which is yet to be officially released next week. So I could have been the first in the whole world to own something from that collection. :(
