The Body Shop Japanese Camellia Cream
After gifting my brother The Body Shop products for Christmas, I think I got him hooked on them. In the weekend, I went with him to shop at The Body Shop store in Rotterdam city center. He bought the gift certificate from the ING bank rentepuntenwinkel like I advised him to and it was nice shopping knowing that you basically get 50% on everything you buy, when your bill is around €35. In that weekend, everything (except some of the newer products) were 40% off too, so the savings is even bigger.
I have never seen it before, but I discovered The Body Shop Japanese Camellia Cream in the store and I totally fell for it. I also tried the Hawaiian kukui cream and I find it a bit harder to spread out.
I cannot write a thorough review of the body cream as it is something my brother bought for himself (I cannot believe that I am actually sharing a The Body Shop haul of my brother on my blog).
For those interested, he bought a full size satsuma shower gel after liking that one the most out of the four mini shower gels (moringa, strawberry, mango, and satsuma) that I gifted him, The Body Shop Japanese Camellia Cream, and a Fuji Green tea shower gel. He received the Moringa body scrub as a free gift, after spending more than €30. In total, the goods are worth €55 and he only spend €19.70.
The brown (plastic but looks like glass) jar reminds me of chemistry class (the mizon snail cream I reviewed before had that too). The body cream has a soft and buttery texture, which is similar to the ultra rich, whipped body cream from Rituals that I reviewed before. I really like how nice it feels on the skin and it absorbs into the skin quite fast. I applied some on my hands and they were soft for 2-3 days straight. Even after washing my hands, I still felt there was a thin protective layer on them. The Japanese Camellia has a subtle, sweet flowery scent that I really like too.
One of the reasons why I didn't buy one for myself is that I don't think I will ever finish this gigantic 350 ml jar. But I might get one as a reward if I manage to finish all my body products before the end of this year.
