Review: L'Occitane travel size essentials

I already reviewed the L'Occitane hand and foot cream from the Summer essentials bag, but I forgot about the rest of the products again. I should really learn how to schedule posts, as I never finish the projects that I ambitiously start. If I had promised to review something that you were interested in and it didn't show up on my blog yet, don't feel burdened to remind me of that. I am pretty forgetful and you should not take that personal.

In this blog post, I will review the travel sized versions of the L'Occitane Aromachology repairing shampoo, the shea butter soap, and the Verbena shower gel & body lotion.

L'Occitane Aromachology repairing shampoo for dry and damaged hair 5 essential oils

L'Occitane Aromachology repairing shampoo for dry and damaged hair

This shampoo contains 5 essential oils: angelica, lavender, geranium, ylang ylang, and sweet orange. It repairs and smooths the hair. I really like the sweet orange scent with different layers of herbal and spicy scents. It is not for everybody, but if you like the more unusual scents of some of the LUSH products, you should like this scent too. It is one of my favorite shampoo's as it makes my hair look shiny and full of volume. It looks as if I had a professional blow dry at a hair salon, even though I just washed my hair with this shampoo and let it air dry. The only deal breaker is my sensitive scalp, so I need to use my usual shampoo (which I will reveal in another post) for my scalp first and then, this shampoo for the hair. I also think that €18 for a 300 ml bottle of shampoo is a bit on the expensive side. But you only need a little each time, I think I got about 8 uses out of this travel-sized shampoo and I have mid to long hair. I will definitely get a full size bottle, after I use up all the shampoo I have at home.

L'Occitane shea butter extra gentle pure vegetable soap

L'Occitane Extra Gentle Milk Soap with Shea Butter

I really like the cute, brown paper packaging with the rustic round stamp on top. This soap has a nice scent, but it is not that special that I would buy it again just for the scent. It doesn't really foam up, get really creamy, nor can you create lots of bubbles with it. It is a bit like a normal soap, but I think the special point about this is that it is pure vegetable soap. I actually felt the skin on my hands pulling right after using the soap, but it felt better after a few minutes. The skin did feel noticeably a bit softer after one wash, but the result is a bit minimal.

L'Occitane Verbena shower gel body lotion

L'Occitane Verbena Shower Gel and Body Lotion

You only need a little bit of this shower gel to create very airy bubbles. I like the strong, sweet lemon scent. It is similar to lemon filling in a pie to me, but some might think that it reminds them of dish washing liquid. It makes my skin a bit softer, but it didn't amaze me enough for a repurchase.

The body lotion is very watery and easy to spread out. Its scent reminds me a bit of Vicks lemons drops. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, but it stays sticky to the touch for a while. The scent stays on the skin quite well. I could smell the sweet lemon scent the next day too.
