HEMA Easter chocolate eggs - dark chocolate mint and caramel sea salt

Last year, I reviewed 15 flavors of the HEMA Easter chocolate eggs and I was missing the caramel sea salt flavor. The reason for that, was because I couldn't get my hands on them. I went to almost every HEMA store in Rotterdam and they just didn't have them anymore. This year, I planned to get them as soon as I could and not wait until the last minute. Luckily, I was able to buy a bag. I also wanted to buy a bag of the white chocolate blackberry, but they seem to have replaced that with one which has a coconut flavor and I am not a big fan of coconut. So, I went for the next best thing: the dark chocolate mint.

What do I think of the HEMA milk chocolate caramel sea salt eggs?

The milk chocolate egg is solid (you can recognize it by the polkadot wrapper) with small grains of caramelized sea salt inside. I don't know if they changed the recipe, but the milk chocolate has a richer chocolate flavor and is a bit creamier than what I remember from last year. It is not as addicting as the Tony Chocolonely chocolate bar with the caramel sea salt flavor, but it is quite good. The caramelized sea salt is also cleansing my palette after eating one, so I didn't get nauseous as I normally would. If you don't like caramel sea salt that much, you don't really have to worry, as it doesn't linger long in the mouth and you only get a little hint of it. The milk chocolate flavor is what you taste the most.
