Emptied: L'Occitane cherry blossom shower gel and almond shower oil

I don't really remember ever writing an "emptied" blog post on my blog. Maybe one, if you count this one. But hand soap is relatively easy, as you use it at least a couple of times a day and you don't actually keep buying new ones before one runs out. I also often forget making a picture of empty bottles and jars and just throw them away without thinking. This time, it is different and I actually remembered to keep the empty bottles.

L'Occitane cherry blossom bath & shower gel (500 ml)

It smells like a fruity cherry - it contains a cherry extract from Luberon, France - with a heavy flowery, cherry blossom end note. It is actually like a perfumed shower gel, as a whiff of perfume surrounds you, after taking a shower. The perfume scent lingers for quite a while too. It is great for girls like me, who are a bit on the lazy side in the busy mornings, as you can skip the step of applying perfume. As it foams nicely, it is also suitable for in the bath. Interesting fact: the soap base originates from plants. 

L'Occitane Almond shower oil (500 ml)

Compared to the L'Occitane Cherry blossom shower gel, the Almond shower oil makes my skin softer. I also like the sweet almond scent. It smells similar to an almond filling that you can find in pastries, but then, a lot more condensed. It is a bit on the heavy side like a buttery cake, whereas the Cherry blossom shower gel is fruity with a bit of sourness, which makes it a bit more refreshing and not just overly sweet. But it is definitely something I would repurchase, as it smells amazing and it makes my skin softer than any shower gel that I had tried before. I was originally persuaded in buying this large bottle of shower oil, after buying the travel sized bottle in my first L'Occitane order. The soap base of this shower oil also originates from plants. Interesting fact 1: You can use this as a shaving foam, because when you apply it to moist skin, it turns into a light foam. Interesting fact 2: Don't throw away the bottle, as you can buy a refill bag (€26 for 500 ml). Normally, a bottle of 500 ml costs €36.
