Häagen-Dazs shop in Times Square mall, Hong Kong
One day, I met up with my uncle, aunt, and female cousin in Causeway Bay, as I needed to hand them a portion of the souvenirs, as they were really heavy and some needed to be eaten and chilled immediately. I was about to go to Korea too, so it was better to carry as less as possible and I was not familiar to the customs rules there (not sure if cheese would be okay). It was also only three metro stops away from North Point, where I was staying in the Grand View hotel. It was really convenient for me to go there. Like Admiralty, it is a great place to meet up and shop, as you don't even have to go out in the hot weather and stay shielded from rain too, if you travel by metro. You basically get out of the metro and you are inside the shopping mall (note: Causeway Bay exit A).
While we waited for them to arrive (they were traveling all the way from China and during holiday rush hours too), we shopped a bit in the Times Square mall. After a bit, we got a bit tired and since we couldn't find a place to sit, we decided to visit the Häagen-Dazs shop on the 7th floor of the mall. It was right next to the elevators and escalators, so they should be able to spot us.
I was looking at the ice cream flavors that Häagen-Dazs Hong Kong has (a little bit different than the ones in Europe) and they looked very delicious.
From left to right and up to down: Summer Berries, Macadamia nut, New: Hazelnut crunch, Strawberry, Belgian chocolate, Green Tea, Cookies & Cream, and Caramel Biscuit & Cream.
From left to right and up to down: Lemon Sorbet, Raspberry Sorbet, Strawberry Cheesecake, Vanilla Caramel Brownie, Coffee, Rum Raisin, Mango, and Vanilla.
After thinking for a bit, I decided to get one of their Refreshing Summer ice cream drinks instead. I didn't want to walk around with a leaking ice cream cone, when my family members arrive early. A drink is easier to carry around and we were a bit thirsty. We tried the My Fair Lady (strawberries and cream) and Mango Fiesta (orange and mango) for HK$58 each. From the looks of it, I kind of expected a milkshake like drink, but when I took my first sip, it surprisingly tasted different. It is an ice cream soda. The fizz of the soda water made the drink really refreshing and less heavy than a milkshake. The strawberry and mango/orange flavors were very natural tasting, but the bitterness of the soda water ruined it a bit for me.
Besides the pretty ice cream cakes, I was also surprised that they have ice cream high tea sets and chocolate fondue (you dip small balls of ice cream in chocolate!). If you are interested, make sure to check if the Häagen-Dazs store you want to visit, offers this and if reservation a few days prior is necessary.

The Häagen-Dazs pastries (chocolate Chinese moon cakes!) and cakes looked amazing too.
Why can't I get one of those for my birthday? I like ice cream more than cakes. I checked on their website and a regular size cake is HK$509. It is a bit pricey, but they are works of art.
