HEMA Pretty Lips lipgloss 14 - Pretty Pink review

Over the weekend, I had a lot of fun trying out the new HEMA Pretty Lips lipglosses that I had bought. All the pictures are already taken, but I still need some time to edit the pictures and write the individual reviews. What I can already reveal is that some have already become my must-haves. ^_^

Let's start with the lightest color that I have bought, the HEMA Pretty Lips lipgloss in the color 14 - Pretty Pink. I usually stay away from light pink lipsticks and pink lipsticks with a purple undertone, as it tends to make me look sickly pale. But the pretty, baby pink color of the lipstick bullet and the swatch I made in the store convinced me to buy it after all.

Although from looking at the lipstick bullet, you might think that it is a normal lipstick, but it is a pigmented lip gloss in the shape of a lip balm stick. It has a very creamy texture, but it melts on the lips and it feels weightless and non-sticky, similar to the Etude House Dear My Jelly Lips lipsticks. I am a big fan of sheer and glossy lipsticks, so you can imagine how excited I am with this new product. It is also nice that it makes my lips feel soft and moisturized, plus protect them from the sun with a spf of 15.

It also has a really delicious candy scent like the ones from Etude House, but they smell different. The HEMA Pretty Lips lipglosses have a fruity candy scent, which is different for each color. It somehow reminds me of HEMA hard candies (in Dutch: zuurtjes). ^_^

The HEMA Pretty Lips lipgloss 14 - Pretty Pink smells like sour cherry candies and the scent doesn't linger too long nor do I taste any of it on my lips. You do have to be careful when applying, as the lip product is very soft and it melts easily. So, don't turn too much product out as it might break and a bit of it also gets scraped off at the edges of the lipstick tube, when you turn it back.

It isn't very long-lasting as it is pretty similar to a lip gloss/glossy lip balm and there is also no lip tint in it, so it doesn't leave a stain on the lips either.

The color is a bit too light for me (and my pigmented lips ^_^) and it is making me look a bit sickly pale (I can definitely use some blush!), but I can imagine it to look really great on people with a lighter skin tone and lips. This milky, light pink lip color is something a lot of people are looking for, so it should sell quite well.
