Etude House Mascara cleaner vs. Heroine make mascara remover

As you could have seen in my 8th Gmarket order post, I bought the Etude House Mascara cleaner and Line Remover stick from the Eraser show line. Today, I will be putting the Etude House Mascara cleaner to the test against a strong component, the Heroine make mascara remover. Before I can test these two, I need to apply some water-proof mascara first. I bought the Heroine make mascara remover and Heavy rotation Long volume dynamic mascara together at the Sasa outlet store on Nathan road in Hong Kong for a cheap price. So, why not review these two in one post too? :)

Heavy Rotation Long volume dynamic mascara review

The Heavy rotation Long volume dynamic mascara came with the following instructions:
Upper eyelashes - first apply a light layer on the outer ends of the eyelashes, then brush again from the roots towards the ends of the eyelashes, in a Z motion. Repeat to lengthen and add volume.
Lower eyelashes - apply from the inner to the outer corner of the eye with the tip of the brush.

Now that I have applied water-proof mascara on the eyelashes of both eyes, I can finally start testing and comparing the mascara removers.

 Etude House Mascara cleaner

The Etude House Mascara cleaner has a cute, chubby, white tube with turquoise print. The Mascara cleaner has 12 ml. of contents and that is double of that of the Heroine make mascara remover, which only has 6ml. The prices of these two are comparable, so Etude House wins in the best price-content ratio. What differs the most between these two, is that the Etude House Mascara cleaner has a white, milky liquid, while the Heroine make mascara remover has a liquid similar to water. The advantage of having a white liquid is that you can see how much you have put on the eyelashes and what areas you have missed. The liquid of the Etude House Mascara cleaner also sticks to the eyelashes better, while the Heroine gets all over the place as it is as runny as water. So, Etude House wins again.

Kiss me - Heroine make mascara remover

The Kiss me - Heroine make mascara remover came with these instructions: apply suitable amount from the root of the eyelashes, wait 2-3 minutes, and then use a cotton pad to remove the liquid.

Underneath, you can see the results after using a cotton pad. Both have cleaned up the mascara really well. If I really need to name one winner, I would say that the Etude House required less rubbing/strength to remove the mascara with the cotton pad. I have just placed the cotton pad on my eye for a few seconds and then lightly went over it once.
