Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk JBE101 review
I finally found the time to review the fourth and the last Dear my Jelly Lips-talk lipstick from the Etude House Sweet Recipe line that I got in my 12th Gmarket order and as you all might have guessed (and from looking at the title of this post), it's the yellow JBE101 lipstick.

After consistently referring them as "Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips lipsticks", I thought I should as least write the name properly in the title this time. They are actually called the "Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk lipsticks, but I kept leaving the "-talk" part out since it sounds odd. I also rather use the words "jelly lipsticks" as it is a lot shorter and easier to remember. That is also what I will be doing a lot in this review. ^_^

The Dear my Jelly Lips-talk JBE101 lipstick bullet
It is not without reason why I made that many pictures of the jelly lipstick bullet. It is a very pretty yellow lipstick with many multicolored shimmers. It is especially sparkly when you hold the lipstick in direct sunlight, that way, it is as pretty as a gem. I did have a hard time putting that into a picture, but at least I made a decent attempt. ^_^The Dear my Jelly Lips-talk JBE101 lipstick swatched on my arm
Unlike with Etude House Dear My Jelly Lips lipstick JPK001, the light colored lipstick bullet did not give off a lot of color once swatched. So, no pleasant surprise this time around. It does leave a light yellow sheen on the skin. I initially thought it would just be transparent. The yellow color has the benefit that it can slightly lighten your red lips (red+yellow= light orange). This effect is however very small, so it will only make your lips about a tone lighter.left (one layer) and right (3 layers) |
The Dear my Jelly Lips-talk JBE101 lipstick on my lips
After writing that this jelly lipstick can lighten up your lip color a bit, you must be curious how it looks like on my pigmented lips. I have to say that it does look okay. The yellow color and the large amount of fuchsia shimmers make my lips look a lot more pink overall and slightly orange on the darker parts. The darkness of the lips gets less noticeable, but I still feel that it cannot take all the darkness away. I think that it would look a lot nicer if I had lighter lips. This jelly lipstick would be a great lip balm to have on days, when you don't want to wear a lot of makeup. It gives your lips just the right amount of sparkle and color to still look very natural.
