Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips JOR201 review

After yesterday's Etude House Dear My Jelly Lips JOR203, I now have the Dear My Jelly Lips JOR201 for you. This is another orange lipstick from the Dear My Jelly Lips lipsticks, which is part of the Etude House Sweet Recipe collection. These two lipsticks weren't my top choice, when I first saw the promotional pictures from Etude House, but after seeing swatches of the ones that I wanted before, they didn't seem to be my colors (too bright or too cool pink). I am now reaping the benefits of being a slow buyer, because the two orange lipsticks that I picked instead have become my favorite lipsticks of the moment. I am even considering of buying more to stock up. ^_^

Let's see why I am so pleased with this Etude House lipstick.

Just like with the previous Etude House Dear My Jelly Lips lipstick, the color didn't match with the pictures that were provided by Etude House and the color of the lipstick bullet differs a lot from the color, after swatching it on my arm. You wouldn't have expected it to be this sheer and this light of a color.

Just in case you didn't believe when I wrote about the magical color change on the lips in the previous review and thought it was just my camera settings that changed, I took pictures of the whole changing process. If you scroll down fast enough, you should be able to see it change like a video. ^_^
First, you need to apply a lot of the lipstick on your lips (about 3 to 4 hard swipes) to make it look like picture 1. It looks a bit weird with the darker patches here and there, but it will really melt and even out later on.

This is how it looks on me.

(Avoid looking at my enormous dark circles, I couldn't sleep because of the cold that I had for a couple of days.)

After an hour or so:
My lips have become less glossy and dryer, but the color is still there. The glossy effect is similar to a transparent, glossy lip balm and it isn't long-lasting. Too bad, because I really like the glossiness that doesn't feel sticky on the lips.

I saw a gradation lip look provided by Etude House, using this Dear My Jelly lips JOR201 on the outside of the lips and the JPK002 on the inside. The gradation looks very pretty. ^_^
