Mizon All in one snail repair cream review
I have bought the Mizon All in one snail repair cream in my 11th Gmarket order and today, we will see if my concerns about whether this cream would be suitable for my sensitive skin, were right.
This is my first skincare product from Mizon and it is also the first time I tried a snail cream. Even though, it is a bit gross to be putting snail extract on my face (I really don't like slimy creatures. o_o), but I am always in to try new things. What can I say, I just like to be adventurous. ^_^ I have heard a lot of great things about the regenerative properties of snail extract and this cream contains a high concentration of 92%.
The Mizon All in one snail repair cream comes in a metallic brown box and it has a holographic, authenticity seal at the lid of the box.
The jar that holds the cream is made of heavy glass and the brown glass reminds me of old fashioned medicinal jars. I remember seeing them during high school in the chemistry class room. Just the appearance and the fact that it has snail extract is making me already making me believe in the healing powers of the cream. ^_^
The cream is a white gel that is non-sticky and absorbs into the skin very fast. It doesn't have a fragrance, but it does smell a bit like plastic. If you have used scent-free products before, you would know what I mean. It doesn't leave anything on the skin right after applying, but I have noticed that my face does get oilier than normal after a while. That's why I have only used it during the evening only. I don't want to walk around during the day with a oily face. >_<
I have used it for one week straight and after 3-4 days I started to have break-outs. Because I wasn't sure if it really was due to the cream, I kept using it for a few days longer. I realized that it really was the Mizon All in one snail repair cream that caused my skin to break out as it didn't go away until I stopped using the cream. Strangely enough, the cream was able to soothe some of the break-out it caused. The bumps felt less itchy and became less red. My face also got noticeably lighter in tone and my skin became velvety soft and slightly firmer. Sadly enough, my sensitive skin was the deal breaker, because otherwise it is quite a nice product. I have used it sparingly on a pimple and small cuts and scrapes (I am a very clumsy person ^_^) and it did seem to shorten the recovery time by a bit.

When you take off the black lid from the glass jar, there is also a white lid that you need to remove before you get to the cream.
