philosophy melon daiquiri lip shine over lip tint

In my review on the philosophy gift set - the cocktail party, I mentioned that the philosophy melon daiquiri lip shine would look great over a lip tint. In this blog post, I will actually show you how it will look like over a light pink lip tint and a red lip tint.

For this experiment, I took out two of my favorite lip tints from nanas´B. Doesn´t the pretty packaging look very similar to the Benefit posie tint and cha cha tint? ^_^

In the first picture, you can see my bare lips with a bit of the nanas'B berry yogurt tint on the bottom lip. In the second picture, I have spread it out and you can see that my lips have gotten a very pretty, rosy pink color. This lip tint is already very moisturizing, so it doesn't really need a coat of lip gloss on top. But in the third picture, you can see that a layer of the philosophy melon daiquiri lip shine can make quite a difference. Compared to how the philosophy lip shine looks like on my bare lips, this looks a lot prettier and still very natural looking.

This time, I used the nanas' B cherry yogurt tint, which has a very pretty, rosy red color. The lip tint itself has a very milky, dark pink color, but on the lips, this slowly becomes redder. Although I really love it on its own, a coat of the philosophy melon daiquiri on top enhances the red and makes it extra alluring.

My thoughts: I really like the effect that the philosophy melon daiquiri lip shine has: from innocent to seductive. I have noticed that a thin coat was already enough to create beautiful, glossy lips. Just applying on one lip and spreading it on the other one has been my trick for these not too sticky, but glossy lips. The applicator doesn't really make it easy in controlling the amount that comes out, so squeezing a bit out and using a lip brush can also be a good idea. The first time, I used the lip shine tube like I usually do with lip glosses - applying generously on both lips - and it turned into a sticky mess, so it is best to apply moderately. It is also better for your wallet, because after using it a couple of times (and using a bit too much in the first few times), made me almost use up a quarter of the content of the lip shine tube. It is the first time, I have gone through lip gloss so fast. >_<
