Review: Etude House xoxo Minnie eyeshadow BE104, PK005, and PK006

From the Etude House xoxo Minnie collection, I not only own all the nail polishes, but I also bought all three of the eyeshadows. I already have these in my possession for a very long time, so I am glad that I can finally show them to you and review them.

The limited edition xoxo Minnie eyeshadow mono's are in the same transparent round case as the regular Etude House Look at my Eyes eyeshadow mono's. What sets them apart, is that these have a cute Minnie print on them (black bow and polka-dots). The lid is also sealed by a transparent tape in the shape of a Minnie head (see picture in the left bottom corner). In the back, you can also find the bar code in the same shape.

Etude House xoxo Minnie Look at my Eyes Jewel BE104 is a champagne gold eyeshadow that looks a bit orange in the case, but as you can see in the swatch picture, it really is a light gold, glittery eyeshadow. The glitters are very sparse, so don't expect it to provide full coverage on the eyelid.

Etude House xoxo Minnie Look at my Eyes Jewel PK005 looks a bit brown in the case, but when swatched, you can see that it is a bright coral, orange color. From the promotional pictures, I thought that it was a brown, nude kind of color that I don't have yet, so it isn't what I expected.

Etude House xoxo Minnie Look at my Eyes Jewel PK006 has a dark pink color. I kind of expected it to be a shocking pink color, but it is a more toned downed version.

I used 3-4 swipes to create the swatches in the picture above, but I quite like how the eyeshadow colors are build-able without looking like you have a thick layer on, and you can decide to wear it lightly or very heavy depending on your preference or mood.

In the pictures, I have worn the Etude House xoxo Minnie eyeshadow BE104 on my whole eyelid and it looks quite nice in the pictures, but I recommend using another eyeshadow color in combination with it (like some shading at the corners of the eye). On its own, it can look a bit too white and unhealthy. I have also worn a bit of it as a highlighter on my color bone and shoulders during parties. It looks very festive and subtle, if you spread it out well enough.

In the pictures, the Etude House xoxo Minnie eyeshadow PK005 looks very light baby pink in the case, but the color is in reality the brownish pink like in the picture in the right upper corner. This eyeshadow color really surprised me, because at first, I thought it was a brownish nude color, then after swatching, I thought it was a coral/orange color, and finally on my eyes, it turned into a light baby pink color. ^_^

I also had this with an dark red-orange eyeliner from Etude House. Why do all the pretty eye makeup colors turn into baby pink on my eyes? >_<

I searched through all 1000 pictures that I have taken of these xoxo Minnie eyeshadows over the course of time (lots of doubles), but I still couldn't find a closed eye picture of this eyeshadow, so I decided to put a picture taken from farther away in place of it. The close-up shows the finish of the eyeshadow better and the picture from afar shows the color better (an innocent pink, very suitable for spring/summer).

The Etude House xoxo Minnie eyeshadow PK006 was a bit of a tricky color for me. I tried wearing it on my whole eyelid, but that looked a bit strange (and no, I am not sharing any pictures of that ^_^). So I decided to wear it as a bright eyeliner instead. At first, I wasn't sure if I could get the color to be intense enough. But I was able to do it by repeatedly adding more layers of eyeshadow. I didn't even have to use water to moisten the eyeshadow brush, which would have been my back-up plan.

My opinion

I really like the BE104 eyeshadow as the fine, light gold shimmers look very pretty. I can use it together with other eyeshadow colors and as a result, create new eyeshadow colors. It can also be used as body glitter. The PK005 eyeshadow looks very nice, but it is a bit generic. I think I already own a few of these light baby pink eyeshadows already. The PK006 eyeshadow is a bit tricky to wear, but I will try to find more ways of wearing it.
