Bobbi Brown Surf & Sand collection 2014
After seeing the eSpoir Beach Bombshell makeup collection, I am increasingly looking forward to creating a beautiful beach look and having some fun at the sea side or at the pool. Coincidentally, Bobbi Brown was also inspired by the beach. From the Bobbi Brown late summer 2014 Surf & Sand collection, these are the three items that have caught my eye: the Surf & Sand Eye Palettes, the four new shades of the Sheer Lip Color, and the two Brightening Blushes.
The Bobbi Brown Surf & Sand eye palettes (€75) are available in two color combinations with 8 different eye shadows: Sand (sandy neutrals) and Surf (surfy blues and sunset pinks). Both palettes are covered by sand-colored linen that is sure to remind you of happy summer times. I particularly like the Sand palette as it has four very versatile matte, neutral colors and 4 different shades of glittery gold eyeshadow that would look great on tanned skin. The Surf palette set itself apart with the bright pink, blue, and green colors that you can see in the center and some orange, copper shades to complement them.
The Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color (€25) got four new, limited edition shades: Sunlit Pink, Summer Nude, Peach Sorbet, and Pink Taffy. As I really like sheer lip colors and coral shades, I am very curious about the Sunlit Pink and the Peach Sorbet. I haven't been able to find the MAC huggable lipcolour lipsticks in a local MAC store or counter yet, so I might switch to this one.
The limited edition Bobbi Brown brightening blush (€28) in bronze and pink also look very pretty. They are lightly pearlized and by applying the three colors on the apples of the cheeks, it should give you a fresh and radiant look.
