Valentine's day 2015 eye makeup look with the Body Shop Shimmer Cubes palette 07
Tomorrow, it will be Valentine's day and I have created a sweet eye makeup look with the Body Shop Shimmer Cubes palette 07. I have this palette for a long while already and I haven't properly shown it on my blog yet (except for one shade in my New Year's Eve eye makeup look back in 2013).
The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes palette 07 contains four glittery colors (silver, pink, deep purple, and brown-bronze) that everyone should have. As one of my first eyeshadow palettes, it was very useful. But I can understand that it may be a bit boring if you own a lot of eyeshadow colors already.
For the swatches, I needed to built up the color with several layers. It really helps if you moisten your eye shadow brush first. You can do that by holding the brush under a running tap and then, wipe most of the water off with a paper tissue.

Valentine's day 2015 eye makeup look tutorial
1. Apply the shade 03: argyle pink on the entire eyelid.
2. Apply the shade 04: bronze intense in the outer eye corner.
3. Apply the shade 01: ruby as an eyeliner on the upper lash line and also a bit on the outer bottom lash line.
4. Apply shade 02: dusted silver in the inner eye corner.
This is how the end result looks like!
The shade 04: bronze intense (which reminds me of the Max Factor Excess Shimmer 25 - Bronze) isn't the best shade to create a smoky look with as it just couldn't get dark enough no matter how many layers I applied. Maybe, it would be better if I switched the bronze shade with the deep purple shade (as in: a brown eyeliner and a deep purple smokey color).
As a finishing touch, I used the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Without the many small lumps, the mascara applied a lot smoother. But I still couldn't apply it on the lashes in the inner or outer eye corners. >_<
