Review: Ben & Jerry's Save our swirled

Recently, I discovered this new Ben & Jerry's flavor called Save our swirled in the supermarket and just by reading the description "Raspberry ice cream with marshmallow & raspberry-blackberry swirls & chocolatey cone pieces", I really want to try it. Have you also seen the cute chocolatey ice cream cone pieces with a dark chocolate cone and a white chocolate scoop of ice cream which is in the process of melting?

It also has a special message: We need to save our world, because if it's melted, it's ruined! This is not just the case with ice cream, but also with our precious planet earth.

What do I think?

I was a bit afraid that the raspberry elements would be too sour - I normally pick strawberry ice cream over raspberry ice cream -, but luckily, this wasn't the case. The raspberry ice cream mainly has a very creamy, milky flavor and only a subtle but distinguishable raspberry end taste. The raspberry-blackberry swirls were located more in the center, so I didn't get that in the picture, but I can tell you that it tastes really close to real fruit, except a lot sweeter as they made it into a sugary sauce.

This is also the first time, I was able to properly taste the marshmallow swirls (like soft, just melted marshmallow), as the raspberry ice cream had a light pink color. I had tasted the Ben & Jerry's Baked Alaska ice cream before and because the vanilla ice cream was almost the same color as the marshmallow swirls, I couldn't really distinguish the two.

The chocolatey ice cream cone-shaped fudge pieces were more on the chewy side than hard and crispy, but I like them a lot. They made the ice cream more tasty.
