Review: Sasatinnie nail polishes - pearl and metallics
What I have learned in life is that no matter what kind of shit happens to you, life goes on. The only thing you have control over is how you face life and deal with setbacks. What have helped me go through the darkest periods of my life, besides baking, cooking, and gardening, was applying nail polish. It may sound silly, but what they have in common is that it requires absolute concentration. It takes your mind off of things (no painful thoughts and memories) and you get a nice result that you can be proud of.
I have taken a look at my nail polish stash that I still need to swatch for my blog and it is a bit overwhelming. You may wonder about how many bad things have happened to me to accumulate that many nail polishes! But I need to start somewhere, so I will start with three of the Sasatinnie nail polishes I bought years ago during one of my trips to Hong Kong, together with the Sasatinnie mini nail polishes in heart shaped bottles.
I used about 4-5 coats, but it wasn't that hard to create the layers. The nail polish dries thinly and relatively quickly. It never got really thick and goopy. I always loved pearl nail polishes, but they often make my nails look too white and "dead looking". This one is an exception, as the gorgeous pink shimmer, makes the nails look pearly and have a "healthy blush" too.
Again, I needed to apply about 4-5 thin layers, as it is a bit sheer. This one actually felt a bit heavy on the nails during the night. The following day, it bothered me less, but the glitter was more muted and not so pretty anymore. It looked a bit dull. Maybe, a shiny top coat could have saved it. But on the brighter side, the lovely scent lasted for days and I even smelled it, when I used nail polish remover to remove it from my nails.

Sasatinnie nail polish P605 - Orchid
It is a beautiful pearl nail polish with a clearly visible, pink sheen. As an extra bonus, it has a sweet, not nauseating orchid scent, after drying. To describe the scent better if you 're not familiar with the orchid scent in fragrances (Recommended fragrance to get more familiar: Tom Ford - Velvet Orchid), it smells a bit like sugared grape candy with a floral undertone.I used about 4-5 coats, but it wasn't that hard to create the layers. Sasatinnie nail polish P537 - Raspberry
This nail polish has a beautiful gold-bronze color. It has a very well balanced color: not too cold or too warm. As a bonus, it has a raspberry soda scent, after drying. I have discovered that only the white, pearly capped Sasatinnie nail polishes have a scent. This was also the case with the Sasatinnie mini nail polishes. I will take notice of this, whenever I buy more Sasatinnie nail polishes in Hong Kong. I might not think that the color of the nail polish is anything extraordinary, but the scent might make it more special and worth the purchase.Again, I needed to apply about 4-5 thin layers, as it is a bit sheer.
