Etude House Help my Finger Art Gel Coat review

The Etude House Art Gel Coat is part of the Help my Finger Line, which consists of 10 nail products that each helps you with a specific nail problem. This product is for when you have thin, fragile nails that could use some shine. It promises to give you thick and shiny nails that look like gel nails. You can also use it to stick nail stones and nail stickers more firmly on the nails.

The Etude House Help my Finger Art Gel Coat comes in a paper box with cute, pink scalloped borders at the top and the bottom. On the packaging, you can see how a thick, gel coat is covering a happy looking, (sleeping?) nail. The cross shaped flowers make me think that these products are part of a first aid kit meant for nails. ^_^

I wrote the front and the back in the picture underneath, but it is actually supposed to be the front and the right side of the box. I am just so used to having the description and ingredients listed on the back.

This is how the nail polish bottle looks like: it has a white cap and a rectangular shaped, glass bottle with a pastel purple print.

Is it a good top coat?

To show you the effect of this Etude House Art Gel Coat, I have applied it over the Etude House Bling in the Sea nail polish no. 2 - Magical Kiss. I didn't really like the matte finish that this glitter nail polish has, so it really needed a glossy top coat. As you can see underneath, it really made a difference. In the picture on the left, it has a really muted glow, while it became really sparkly, after applying the Art Gel Coat in the right picture.

It didn't give my nails the thick, glossy gel coat that was suggested in the illustration on the packaging, but I really like the glossiness it adds to glitter nails. I have also worn it over bare nails and it gave my nails a healthy looking shine and made the dry lines on the surface of my nails disappear.

With this top coat, I am starting to like the Etude House Bling in the Sea nail polish again.
