Rainbow ombre glitter nails
As you might know, I have finally managed to review the four Missha The Style nail polishes of the Gem stone line: Citrine, Amethyst, Aquamarine, and Ruby. In the reviews, I have shown you the glitter nail polishes over a nail polish that acted as the base color, but today, you will get to see how they look like over bare nails.
I had painted each of the Missha glitter nail polishes on one nail, creating a rainbow on the nails. OK, I forgot to use the order of red-orange-blue-violet, but then again, I don't have glitter nail polishes in all 7 colors of the rainbow or 7 fingers on one hand anyway. ^_^ . Even though gem stones are probably things that you relate to chic evening parties, but applied like this, these Missha gem stone nail polishes look very colorful together and made them very suitable for the summer.
I didn't use a base coat or top coat and took the pictures the next day. I wanted to clearly show you what I meant with how the glitter nail polishes create a "stain" on your nails. The transparent, colored base doesn't dry up as a thick, glossy coat, but becomes somewhat like a stain with slight glossiness. The glitters stick out more than the colored base. Just to assure you, the stain is only a superficial layer and doesn't ruin your nails at all. After I removed the nail polish, no stain was left on the nails and the nails all looked very healthy.
As you can see in the pictures, the base color doesn't cover the nails entirely and you can still see the white edges of the nails. But because I like these glitter nail polishes very much, it doesn't really bother me. Like one of my readers, Jenn F from abeautifulzen, pointed out, the brushes of these Missha nail polishes are really nice to use. The formula isn't goopy at all and the glitters are really easy to spread. This was my first time trying the nail polishes from Missha and it didn't leave me disappointed. Because of this good experience, I would like to try out their other nail polishes too.
