Review: Modi Glam Nails S035 - Love Me Not
I already bought this nail polish in my 14th Gmarket order (8 months ago!), but the Modi Glam Nails S035 - Love Me Not has finally made it onto my blog. It is perfect for Easter, so I just had to take it out and wear it on my nails - no matter how busy I am.
The Modi Glam Nails S035 - Love Me Not is a sheer, blue nail polish with black glitters. It is almost a dupe of the Models Own - Speckled Eggs Duck Blue and the Illamasqua nail varnish in Fragile - speckled blue, if not for the squared, black glitters instead of round ones, the short bar glitters, and the lovely black hearts.
This nail polish is from the Modi Glam Nails - S range and from the promotional picture, I couldn't have guessed that it would have looked this way. This is the first time that an Internet purchase turned out much better than expected. ^_^
Although I really like the look of it, the formula isn't as good as with the previous Modi Glam Nails glitter nail polishes that I have reviewed, such as the Modi Glam Nails 74 - Classy Mint. Both nail polishes are a bit sheer with the first coat and need at least two coats, but the Modi Glam Nails S035 - Love Me Not applies very uneven at the first coat. Luckily, this can somewhat be saved with adding another coat over it.
The blue nail polish also covers up the hearts too much. It would be nice if it was a bit sheerer. I actually had to "scrape" the nail polish off the heart glitter on the nail of my index finger with the nail polish brush for it to show. The black glitters are supposed to contrast with the light blue color, but they actually gets camouflaged. Still, I really like the heart glitters as it sets it apart from the other similar nail polishes out there.
