Review: Make-up Studio nail polish 129 - Tiger Lily and M94 - St. Tropez
I had never tried anything from the Amsterdam brand Make-up Studio before and it was nice that I was given the opportunity to try out two of their summer nail polishes: 129 - Tiger Lily and M94 - St. Tropez.
The cap of the nail polishes looks very similar to the typical Chanel nail polishes, but the cap in the inside is larger and easier to hold onto.
The Make-up Studio nail polish M94 - St. Tropez is from their Seaside collection that consists of 4 ocean inspired shades in grey, blues, and coral.
This nail polish is quite sheer. It has a noticeably thinner consistency than the light pink nail polish of the same brand that I will be showing you later in this blog post. You need to apply 3 coats to get the same result as in my pictures. It also takes a considerably long time to let each coat dry properly. But it is a very pretty, gel nail like, coral nail polish with a dark orange undertone. The color is the most accurate in the picture above.
The Make-up Studio nail polish 129 - Tiger Lily is from their Power Flower collection that consists of 5 flowery pink & purple and leafy green shades.
With this pastel, candy pink nail polish, I struggled a bit. It has a very strange consistency that creates holes in the middle of the painted nail, while it is drying up. It also doesn't flatten and smooth up while drying - which I have had with certain nail polishes -, so you have to have an even and pretty looking layer of nail polish on your nail before you let it dry. Just like the previous nail polish, I needed at least 2-3 coats.
If you are considering of buying a Make-up Studio nail polish, it is safer to get a color that doesn't have a white base or a light pastel color. Try to stick to ones that have a gel nail like finish as the M94 - St. Tropez that had a better consistency to apply nail polish neatly with.

The nail polish brush is very thin and widens towards the tip.
