Summer 2018 fashion inspiration: Crossbody bag
After getting the Guess G Lux Status Satchel for daily use and work, I wanted to also get a smaller and fun cross body bag for the summer. I always thought that cross body bags are a bit awkward, when you somewhat have a chest. The shoulder strap would end up in the middle of your chest and it looks very unflattering. But I can still wear it on one shoulder instead of across my body.
I really like the outfit in the center: a pink blouse, round sun glasses, a brown bag with pink strap and tassel, white skinny pants, and pink sneakers. It is a great way to incorporate pink into your outfit without looking too childish or girly. Overall, it is very sleek and clean.
I also found another pink outfit (I cannot help it, I just love pink!) in the Hudson's Bay department store. The doll was wearing a very casual looking white sweater combined with wide, pink pants. The Karl Lagerfeld Ikonik Choupette crossbody bag was the absolute show stealer.
In the Topshop store, I found some small, rectangular cross body bags. The pink bag looks really good with the black-white polkadot dress.
If you cannot afford to get the Karl Lagerfeld cat bag, I found a cheaper black cat bag (€15) at the Monki store. It is a round cross body bag with black fur on the front and on the back. It is also available in leopard print or with quilted black faux leather. The cat ears that are sticking out are very cute. The bright yellow, half a lemon, furry key chain would be a quirky addition to the all-black bag.
