The Catrice Watermelon Shine glow lip balm 010 - I carried a watermelon (€4.99, Kruidvat store) is the latest addition to my tinted lip balm collection. It has a pretty metallic packaging like the Benefit hydrating tinted lip balm and the HEMA lipgloss that I reviewed in the past. The metallic color is like a darkened strawberry pink and it is a very pretty color. At the bottom, there is a transparent part made of plastic, which looks like glass. The lip balm tube is not flimsy and light, and it snaps close tightly with a nice sound.
The tinted lip balm has a sweet watermelon candy scent and flavor. It last for a short while and it is quite pleasant. At first application, I didn't see much on my lips and I was a bit disappointed. But like the Etude House Sweet recipe Dear my jelly lips lipbalms, you need to apply multiple layers to see some color on the lips. The color pigments in the tinted lip balm also reacts to the pH value of the skin, so the color can look different depending on the person. On me, it looks like a warm toned bubble gum pink. I really like how it has a bright, juicy pink color, but it doesn't look too overwhelming. It is lightweight, it stains like a lip tint, and it is glossy like a lip gloss without being sticky. It is also moisturizing, as it contains watermelon seed oil. I can totally wear the Catrice Watermelon Shine glow lip balm on a daily basis, without problems.
